Minute of Council at meeting of 17 December 1874 appointing the Election Statutes Committee was read.

Resolved;
1. ' That the qualifications of the Candidates should, as at present, be submitted to the Council, in order that such candidates as may be thought eligible for the Fellowship may be recommended by the Council to the Society. '
2. ' Nemine contradiente - that there should be some limitation as to the Number of the Candidates so recommended.'
3. A circular to be issued to the Fellows, requesting informationon the date and place of their birth.
