Minutes of the meeting of 11 March 1875 read and confirmed

The Secretary reported;
1. That the 'Manual' had been published in May, and that copies had been provided to the expeditionalry ships 'Alert' and 'Discovery',
2. The Expedition sailed on 29 May 1875
3. Two letters form Admiralty read confirming the payment to the Society's Treasurer by the PAymaster General £250 granted by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to defray the cost of preparing the manual
4. £250 received and £100 paid to Professor Rupert Jones as in the Resolution of Council of 21 January
Resolved; that in consideration of assistance of Professor W G Adams in preparing the Manual, addtional £75 to be paid to Professor Rupert Jones and £75 to Professor W G Adams.
