Minute of Council of 27 June 1878 concerning the formation of a Publication Fund was read.

Letter from Mr Bramwell accounting for his non-attendance was read.

Correspondence read from Few & CO to W Spottiswoode of 2 August 1878 re 200 shares from Mr Worford in the Whitworth Land Company to the Royal Society; and from W Orford to Messrs Few & Co in reply.

Treasurer informed the Committe he had replied, proposing as Trustees Mr Warren De La Rue, Mr Evans and himself. Resolved -
1. To recommend to Council amalgamation of funds tinto one fund
2. Entrance fee for Fellows to be abolished and annual fee to be £3
3. This fund to be kept separate and any balance after to be used for a separate Publicatins Fund.
