Minute of meeting of Council of 17 June 1880 appointing the Committee for the purpose of advising the Controller of Her Majesty's Ststionery Office on questions which he has to submit to the Treasury respecting the forn and order in which the work should appear.

Mr T Digby Piggott,Controller of HM Stationery Office, presented his note of 1 July 1880 on the present state of the report of the "Challenger" Expedition [Printed note pasted into minutes], and a Letter of 26 June 1880 from the Editor of the Challenger Report, C Wyville Thomson, to the Controller on method of publication.

' Resolved,
1. That portions of the Report shall be published searaely as from time to time they may be completed
2. That they shall in part be placed on sale separately and in part bound, and offered for sale in temporary volumes. '
