Letter of 9 July 1881 from the Secretary of the Treasury addressed to the President, ' acknowledging receipt of intimation that a Committee of the Royal Society had been formed to advise My Lords, and stating that the requisite communications had been made to Sir Wyville Thomson and the Controller of the Stationery Office. '
