2. Letter form the Treasury of 22 October 1880 with inclosures
3. Declared that in the Committee's opinion it is desirable for the Government to undertake Observations of the Transit of Venus in 1882. Advisable to have a special Committee appointed to decide upon the observations which are essential and to advise the Government as to the best method of carrying them out.
