1. Read and signed minutes of previous meeting

2. Answers received in response to enquiries made at several artists 'in pursuance of the resolution of the Committee were laid before the Committee and it was agreed that Mr J H M Furse be invited to furnish a design for the medal in accordance with the terms of his letter, the obverse is to bear a portrait of the founder with his name and the date of his birth and death, the reverse being left to the discretion of the artist. '
