Minutes of Council for the following meetings have been cut out and pasted in;

At a Council meeting of 28 April 1887 the Committee reported to Council, and ' it was resolved that the recommendation of the Committee as to the publication of the Monograph of Horny Sponges of Australia be adopted, that the Committee be requested to supervise the publication of the work, and that a sum not exceeding £300 be placed at their disposal to defray the cost of preparing and printing the plates. It was further agreed that it would be desirable to accept the offer of the Australian Museum 'authorise the publication, by the Society of Dr Von Lendenfeldt's Monograph on the Horny Sponges of Australia, as an independent volume apart from the Phil Trans, the cost of the plates not to exceed £300, and the price of the volume to be determined hereafter, and that the consideration of the offer of the Australian Museum Sydney to purchase 50 copies for £200 be postponed for the present.'

Subsequent Council Minutes record;
20 June 1889 ' The Committee recommend that the publicated price of the Monograph be £3, and that it be supplied to Fellows of the Royal Society at £2 net. They recommend that (10 the Australian Museum (see Minutes, 28 APril 1887) be informed that in return for the £200 they offered for fifty copies of the Monograph, they may, if they desire, have as many copies beyond the fity as shall not exceed a total of one hundred. (2) that the author be allowed twelve free copies,' and that a copy be presented to 18 institutions [listed] and to 24 individuals.
Resolved that the above Report be received and the recommendations contained in it adopted.

24 October 1889 ' The Senior Secretary reported that a letter had been received from the Australian Museum, Sydney, accepting the offer of an additional fifty copies of the 'Monograph of Horny Sponges'

31 October 1889 ' It was agreed that a copy of Dr Lendenfeld's @monograph of the Horny Sponges' should be presented to each member of teh Committee which had charge of its publication. It was also agreed to present a copy to the Geological Society. '

3 July 1890 ' An application from Professor Flower for a grant of Dr Lendenfeld' 'Monograph of the Horny Sponges ' and the ' Report on the eruption of Karakatoa ' for the Library of teh British Museum (Natural History) be granted. '
