1. Minutes of the last meeting read and signed.

2. ' Mr Chapman having withdrawn, Mr A Chaston Chapman's applicatin for a recommendation for the exemption of hsi assistant, Mr Pweter Burgen, was considered and the Committee agreed to recommend his exemption as being an Analytical and Research Chemist engaged in work of national importance.

3. The questiomn was raised whether recommendations for the exemption of Public Analysts and their assistants should be made under the terms of Resolution 1 or 3 of the Council. Agreed that such cases should be dealt with under Resolution 1.

4. A list of 317 cases which had been dealt with since March 17th, 1916 was laid before the Committee. [Names not listed] '
