1. Minute of Council appointing the Committee to 'report on the investigation of the bionomics and economic importance of grain-infecting insects' was read 2. Treasurer explained scope of Committee, statement from Mr Fryer suggests preliminary investigation to be undertaken by small sub-committee 3. After discussion agreed to reopor that the problem of insect pests on grain and grain products as specified in a memorandum of the Board of Agriculture, is of national importance and urgently needed investigation 4. Recommended appointment of a Committee to undertake a preliminary investigation 'at a cost not exceeding £250, with the power to co-opt representatives of the Grain, Milling and Shipping trades for the purpose of the investigation,' subject to a letter of request from the Board of Agriculture
