The Petition of Thomas Johnson near relation of the late Dr Pagett was read, requesting the Society's Charity to his distressed family.
Ordered that the Treasurer pay Mr Thomas Johnson £10 as the free gift of the Society in consideration of his benig [being] a near kinsman of Dr Pagett their benefactor : and that he be told that for the future he make no further application to them on this Account.
Mr George Graham, Dr Springall, Mr East Surgeon and Dr Hale were balloted and approven for Election.
Ordered that the consideration of the manner of the payment of the Lord Abergavenny's fee farm rent be adjourned to the next Council. ' |
