' Ordered that Dr Nathaniel Vincent desiring to withdraw himself from the Societie, for severall private reasons of his own, have his bond delivered up.

Mr Hook made a proposall that he would produce one or two Experiments, and a discourse at every meeting provided his Salary be made up [to] £100 per annum herupon.

After much debate it was concluded that Mr Hook should have fifty pound a year from the Society, and their lawfull assistance and recommendations towards his recovery of the fifty pounds a year which Sir John Cutler stands oblilged to pay him during his life : and that in consideration thereof, Mr Hook should at every meeting produce one or two New Experiments, together with a discourse concerning them in writing, to be left with the Societie, and that the said Experiments should proceed in a Naturall Method.

Ordered that Mr Papin be paid a Quarters Salary of seven pounds and ten shillings being due to him at Christmas Last. '
