Minutes of the last meeting of 3 September read

Repairs of the Royal Observatory, recommended by the Board of Ordnance by the last Council, were ordered to be done, the President reported

Discussed the affair of the annual Medal, whether to defer to another year or award to a less deserving subject. Resolved to omit the donatrion for the present year.

Treasurer to pay the bill of £74-4-9 to the Society's engraver Mr Mynde

Peter Davall presented his account of disbursements of his Majesty's late Benefaction to the Society for the observations of the Transit of Venus, with balance of £`148 - 1 - 5. [Account produced in full at end of minutes]

James Porter, his Majesty's late Ambassador at Constantinople, to have volumes of Transaction he is still awaiting delivered

Mr Kirkby the Society's Solicitor to write to the Membes of the Society concerning their arrears or have legal action taken against them.
