The Bonds of Mr Sawbridge, Mr Windham, Dr Feake and Dr Russel given to Mr Kirkby, the Society's Solicitor

Mr Baker, Lord Charles Cavendish and Peter Davall Esq proposed from the chair and elected by ballot as auditors of the annual accounts

' Peter Davall Esq. reported that, since the last Council in which he had given in an account of the receipts and disbursements, upon his Majesty's Benefaction for the observation of the Transit of Venus; he had paid the further sum of £40 and also the sum of £5-0-6 to Mr Short and that the ballance now in his hands was £103-0-11. '

1. The balance of £103-0-11 paid to Treasurer
2. Listed additional sums to be paid to the Treasurer

' Mr Short mentioned to the Council, the astronomical Instruments in his hands, belonging to the Society, which had been brought back from the Cape of Good Hope; recommending that a proper place might be provided for their receoption. And it was resolved, that Mr Short be desired to suffer them to remain at his house, till such a place can be prepared.'
