Minutes of last Council meeting on 30 November 1748 read

' The Lord Bishop of Bangor, Mr Hasseell and Mr Clarke were sworn to the Council

The President nominated and appointed the Lord Charles Cavendish, Mr Mann and Mr Jones to be vice or Deputy Presidents to act in his stead in case of sickness or absence. And they took the Oath of Vice President, and also the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy pursuant to the Charter. '
