' Lord Cadogan, elected of the new Council, on St Andrew's day last, took the Oath Appointed by the Charter

The Minutes of the last Council, viz January 27th were read

Considerable Progress was made in ranging and Methodizing the several Orders of Council, relatiive to the Offices of Clerk, Librarian, Keeper of the Repository, Housekeeper, Mace Bearer, and Porter.

A report Relative to the Office of Clerk, to the Manner of Electing the Clerk, the petitions of the several Candidates who have applied to succeed Mr Hawksbee; and the examinations of the said Candidates before the last Council, was directed to be made to the Society, by Charles Morton, Secretary. '
