Among matters discussed or noted: minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Report of the auditors on the Treasurer's accounts, a balance of £1,808 9s. 7d. Statement by the Treasurer on the Society's financial accounts, listing expenses as ordinary and extraordinary, including the cost of printing Philosophical Transactions 1835-1839: noting legal expenses, including defending the suit on Mablethorpe tithes, and sources of income. Dr. Roget reported on behalf of the committee on unappropriated Copley Medals, finding that 62 awards had been made in 70 years to 1800 and an additional 38 medals to 1839, therefore only one medal remained unappropriated.
