Letter from Count Brunow, Ashburnham House, 10 June 1844, to the Marquess of Northampton, full text [in French] entered into the minutes: on the Charter Book deputation to the Emperor and regretting the brief visit to England. List of salaries to be paid to Officers and staff. List of bills for printing , paper and for other expenses. Mr. Macilwain applied to copy his paper on respiration, persmission granted. Reports of several committees on the award of medals: the Copley Medal to be awarded to Professor C. Matteucci of Pisa for work on animal electricity; Royal Medals to be awarded to Thomas Graham and to George Boole; no recommendation for the award of the Rumford Medal. Mr. Daniell to superintend the refilling of the water barometer. Mr. E. Wilson applied for 30 copies of his paper on Entozoon folliculrum; Mr. Simon for 100 copies of his paper on the thyroid gland, both granted. Mr. Owen's paper on belemnites in the Oxford Clay to be the Bakerian Lecture. The Secretraies to apply to the Board of Works for repairs to the pipe leading to the sewer.
