Among matters discussed or noted: minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Resolution on the binding of books. The Board of Works had declined to repair window frames in the Society's apartments, the Treasurer to direct any necessary repairs. Letter from Mr. Westwood, Secretary of the Entomological Society, requesting a presentation of Philosophical Transactions, granted. Letters from Anthony Panizzi, British Museum, 15 and 17 July 1836, to Peter Mark Roget and John George Children, with one letter, P. M. Roget, Bernard Street, 16 July 1836, to Anthony Panizzi, full text entered into the minutes: additional content on Panizzi's perceived injustices in compiling the Library Catalogue, with Roget's response that it was always Council's understanding that the catalogue would be supervised by the Catalogue Committee. Additional justifications sent to J. G. Children met with the resolutions that Council sees no reason to change their decision, again requesting the return of catalogue revisions in Panizzi's possession, and the duplicate key to drawers containing manuscript slips of the catalogue.
