Among matters discussed or noted: minutes of the last meeting read and approved. Report of the Auditors of the Treasurer's accounts was presented. The Reverend T. Simpson Evans appointed Fairchild Lecturer for the year. Professor Stokes appointed to the Scientific Relief Committee. A grant of £100 from the Scientific Relief Fund was granted to an applicant. The seal of the Royal Society was affixed to the dipomas of Anders Jonas Angstrom and Joseph Antoine Ferdinand Plateau and signed by the President. A donation of 2 guineas was granted to the Parochial Schools of Mablethorpe. Volume 4 and some sheets of volume 5 of the Catalogue of Scientific Papers were laid on the table. |
