DescriptionFile of letters received by Wilkie inviting him to attend Lectures in honour of Einar Lundsgaard, Professor of Physiology, The University of Copenhagen (1934-1967), on 28 and 29 September 1967, on the occasion of his retirement. The letters document arrangements for the event which began in April 1967. Wilkie delivered a lecture titled "The energetics of muscular contraction: a continuing history" at the Lecture Hall at the Institute of Physiology, Henrik Harperstengsvej 3, Copenhagen. Includes two Politiken newspaper cuttings, dated 29 September 1967; a copy of the lecture programme; and a letter from [Archibald Vivian] Hill requesting for a letter of his to be read out during the evening party on 29 September, proposing Wilkie as the orator, dated 10 April 1967.
