Is recommended by Martin Folkes Esqr VPRS in a Letter from Rome of the 23d Jany 1734 NS in the following Words
'A man of very great Learning & Eminence here in all parts of our Buissiness, and who is particularly Acquainted with the Works of the Society, & shews a most remarkable respect to all the Members of it. I am perswaded he will be every way an honour to the Society; & as the Station he is in, will afford him Opertunities, I am no ways doubtfull that he will prove a very valuable & usefull Correspondent. He is also greatly recommended by Sigr Manfredi & Father Grandi, both already Fellows of the Society.'
