Member of the Royal Academy of Sciences, one of the Gentlemen who went over to Peru to determine by measure and Observation the True figure of the Earth, and Author of the Curious relation of his Voyage down the River of the Amazons lately presented by him to this Royal Society, being desirous of offering himself a Candidate for election into the Same. We do accordingly propose and hereby recommend him, as a gentleman of the most distinguished merit and Learning, and every way qualified to be a valuable and a worthy member of our body.
