Citation | We the underwritten Members of the Royal Society, from our personal knowledge of Humphry Jackson of Towerhill Esqe well versed in Chymistry, who is very desirous of the honour of being admitted into the Royal Society do recommend him as well qualified for becoming a most useful member thereof, particularly for the merit of his discovery of the method of making Isinglass from Bristish Materials, and likewise for his invention of preserving Naval Timber from speedy decay |
