| Citation | Thomas Horsfield MD of Raymond Buildings, Grays Inn, a Gentleman devoted to pursuits connected with Natural History (who for seventeen years was employed in collecting Specimens in the Islands of Java, Sumatra, and Banca; who since his arrival in England in 1819 has been engaged in arranging the same in the Museum of the East India Company, and whose Zoological Researches are in the hands of the Public;) being desirous of becoming a Fellow of the Royal Society, we whose names are undersigned do, from our personal knowledge, recommend him as deserving the honor he solicits, and likely to prove a useful and valuable Member |
