Citation | The Revd Henry Tattam, MA MRSL Member of the Asiatic Society of Paris, and Rector of St Cuthbert's Bedford, a Gentleman eminently acquainted with Oriental Literature, and especially versed in the various Dialects of the Egyptian Language, and Coadjutor of the late Dr Thomas Young in the publication of his Egyptian Dictionary, printed as an Appendix to Mr Tattam's Grammar of that Language, - being desirous of becoming a Fellow of the Royal Society, - We whose names are underwritten, do, from our personal knowledge recommend him as highly deserving of that honour, and likely to prove a valuable and useful member |
