The author of a Catalogue of 3735 Circumpolar Stars, published at the Public Expense, and for which the Royal Astronomical Society awarded him their gold medal. The Founder of the Observatory at Redhill, in which the observations and reductions for the above named catalogue were made. Distinguished for his acquaintance with the science of Astronomy, and his zeal in promoting its objects. |
