Distinguished for his original researches in Pathology, Bacteriology, Protozoology and Insects in relation to Disease, embodied in 36 publications which have appeared since 1902. Papers: - Four important papers on 'Diphtheria' (vide Journ Hyg, 1902, 1905, 1906), &c (ibid); 'The Biological or Precipitin Test for Blood considered mainly from its Medico-legal Aspects' (ibid), (Part I with F Sanger); 'Blood Relationship amongst the Lower Vertebrata and Arthropoda,' &c (included in Nuttall's 'Blood Immunity,' &c); 'A New Species of Parasite found in the Red Blood Corpuscles of Moles' (Journ Hyg, 1906); 'A Cystic Disease of . . . . . 'Psittacus undulatus', due to a Protozoan Parasite' (ibid); 'Swollen Head in Turkeys' (Journ Agric Sci); Section iv being pp 122-448 of 'The Bacteriology of Diphtheria' (edited by Nuttall and Graham-Smith) includes much original work by the latter alone.
