Description | Date stamp on reverse |
Citation | Has greatly promoted the studies of crystallography, mineral and rock analyses by science students. He has made many improvements in crystallographic appliances and teaching methods. First proved conclusively the existence of salts of tetravalent lead with feeble acids. Discovered Stokesite, and fully determined its properties. Other papers relate to antimonite, chalybite and gypsum (all optical); Lengenbachite and Sericite (chemical), Colemanite (crystallographic), etc. |
