Distinguished for investigations in many branches of physical chemistry, eg surface actions, emulsions, colloid phenomena, chemi-luminescence, photochemistry, and especially magnetism and molecular structure. Author of 'Physical principles and applications of magneto-chemistry'. Has built up a remarkably active and flourishing school of chemical research at the University of Lahore, and has obtained valuable endowments for it from the leaders of chemical industry in India. Author, alone or jointly with his students, of 125 papers. |
