Title | Collingwood, Edward Foyle: certificate of election to the Royal Society |
Date | 1958 |
Description | Certificate of Election Citation typed |
Citation | Distinguished for his work on the theory of functions of a complex variable and in allied fields. He has made many valuable contributions to the Nevanlinna theory of deficient values and to the theory of cluster sets of functions meromorphic in the unit circle. By means of the theory of cluster sets he has obtained important results in the theory of prime ends and in his recent papers he has extended some of the results for cluster sets of analytic functions to cluster sets of arbitrary functions. A list of publications is appended. |
