Citation | Over the past twenty five years has carried out researches into the physiology of insects of economic importance in Australia which have made a large contribution to pure and applied entomology. His work on digestion in the sheep blowflies and on the digestion of wool by clothes moths and other insects is outstanding. Since 1960 he has been in charge of the large and productive Division of Entomology of the C.S.I.R.O; but he maintains a steady flow of personal research of high quality. He is also Biological Secretary of the Australian Academy of Science. |
