CitationJonathan Gregory is a world leading expert on understanding and predicting anthropogenic climate change. He has published extensively on a wide range of climate topics. Through the use of observations and detailed mathematical models of climate, he has advanced understanding many of the concepts and processes involved. In particular, he has pioneered methods of estimating climate sensitivity using observations which are now widely used, and led the development and use of numerical models of climate to explore changes in sea level due to increases in greenhouse gases. He has contributed as a lead author to the last three IPCC assessments.
