TitlePrice, Sarah Louise: certificate of election to the Royal Society
Date4 May 2017
DescriptionCertificate of candidate for election
CitationSarah (Sally) Lois Price has transformed our understanding of the subtle differences in the crystalline organic sold state energy landscape. Her ability to calculate intermolecular forces and hence to control and then demonstrate new physical forms of organic molecules such as hitherto unknown polymorphs is of enormous relevance to the pharmaceutical industry. This work has been based on her pioneering development of models for the forces between organic molecules from their charge distributions, and the computer codes to use these models to simulate organic crystal structures and properties, for hundreds of molecular systems.
