TitleThomas, Jennifer Anne: certificate of election to the Royal Society
Date4 May 2017
DescriptionCertificate of candidate for election
CitationJennifer Thomas is one of the world's leading experimentalists studying the neutrino. Her long-standing leadership roles in the large international MINOS experiment have been decisive. Her earlier work, including electron-positron annihilation on TASSO and LEP, was highly influential in both physics results and the development of novel detectors. Her work in MINOS continues as one of two Spokespersons; she proposed and leads the MINOS+ experiment and plans to elucidate the nature of the neutrino via the SuperNEMO experiment. She has recently proposed CHIPS, using novel techniques to facilitate extremely large neutrino detectors, promising world-leading physics for many years to come.
