Citation | Contemporary global health researchers recognise the diverse and deep contributions of Professor Zulfiqar Bhutta to the health of children living in impoverished conditions. Professor Bhutta has led implementation research in Pakistan, conducting 14 large cluster randomized trials assessing the effectiveness of various approaches to improve maternal, newborn and infant health working with public sector health workers. In addition, Professor Bhutta has established strong knowledge synthesis and translation groups, first at Aga Khan University in Pakistan, his base since 1986, and the Centre for Global Child Health, University of Toronto where he has directed the research. |
