Citation | Adam Eyre-Walker is an internationally recognised leader in the field of molecular evolution. He has made exceptionally creative use of DNA sequence and gene expression databases to enhance our understanding of the evolutionary causes of patterns in fundamental features of the genome such as codon usage bias, GC content, transposable elements and mutation rates. He is especially well-known for his major contributions to the development of methods for inferring the nature and strength of selection on DNA sequence variants in natural populations, which are very widely used in modern population genomics studies. |
