TitleCorrespondence between George Hemmen, Expeditions Officer, Royal Society and Dr Martin Holdgate, Southern Chile expedition leader
Date19 Spetember 1960 - 9 August 1962
DescriptionThis correspondence dates from 1960, over a year after the return of the expedition from South Chile. The correspondence touches on the winding up of the Southern Chile expedition, and the two consider such things as expedition expenses and publications. However it also has passages in letters that are relevant to the Tristan da Cunha expedition in 1962 and general planning of future expeditions by the Royal Society in the Southern hemisphere, with Martin Holdgate using his experience in Chile to help with planning.
