The file includes notes on the equipment being taken by expedition members to the Solomon Islands, details on the premiums paid and a paper on insurance for the Southern Zone Research Committee [SZR/8(65)]. Later correspondence relates to insurance claims and settlements, including correspondence with Jim Grant and Alan Bailey, who both made claims. There are handwritten notes which appear to apply to an earlier Royal Society expedition to North Borneo. These may have been incorrectly filed, or moved to this file by George Hemmen for information purposes. |
