DescriptionIncludes correspondence, the vast majority of which concerns members of the land, rather than the marine party making up the expedition to the Solomon Islands. The earlier correspondence relates to finding and securing people to join the expedition, and include letters senior figures who are recommending others who might be useful, alongside official inivations to join. Later papers in the file include indemnity forms signed and returned by expedition members, as well as forms accepting press regulations. Occasionally an expedition member has added notes to the signed forms.
