DescriptionThe extensive file includes a full list of stores and equipment bought for the Solomon Islands expedition, along with information on the value and pack that the items were shipped in. Within the booklet the lists are divided into categories including, clothing, medical equipment and instruments. There are also papers concerned with equipment and shipping which inlcude samples of tent fabrics, information on outboard motors, and correspondence with suppliers and companies involved in shpping, including the Crown Agents and Breckwoldt & Co.. There are general notes within the papers, some marked as 'for discussion with E.J.H. Corner', these notes were probably compiled by expedition officer, George Hemmen.

NotesPlease note that there is significant crossover between shipping and financial papers. Papers have been kept together following original order rather than moved into 'financial records' section. Owing to the large number of shipping notes items have not been counted individually.
