TitleCopy letter Sir Geoffrey Taylor to Dale
Date[20 October 1945]
DescriptionSending a letter forwarded to him by Prandtl [Ludwig Prandtl], a foreign member of the Royal Society, who is under orders from the British scientific commission in Germany not to carry out any further research. Prandtl is an able scientific man, although he "certainly swallowed the Nazi doctrine in a passive way". Taylor does not think any harm could come of his being permitted to go on with his work, but personally does not see what the Royal Society can or ought to do about Prandtl's appeal
