DescriptionOutlines duties of Demonstrator in Bacteriology - Boake's position would be full-time and it would be impossible for him to undertake any outside work - realizes stipend of Nuffield Dominions Demonstratorship is inadequate for Boake and his wife - cannot be responsible for finding Boake further income or for helping to find employment for Mrs Boake - comments on this - says it is out of the question for Boake to come to do bacteriology and at the same time to do some clinical work - expects him to work full time as bacteriologist - suggests Boake come for six months' trial - then, if situation is unsatisfactory, Boake might find another job or transfer to Hospital Bacteriology department - no objection to Boake starting in February.
