DescriptionThanks for letter - Macintosh feels he has a mission in going to Oxford, to get anaesthesia put on much better basis - comments on this - discusses budget for Macintosh's department in connection with staffing of the department - thanks for invitation to the theatre - regrets cannot come as is dining with Veale and must then see Farquhar Buzzard about Macintosh - one difficulty is that Macintosh knows nothing about the Oxford type of life - comments on this - cannot come to Medical Research Club as he is to be sworn in as Fellow of Balliol on 10 February - will arrange to see Le Gros Clark on Saturday - wonders if he might see Florey before dinner on Friday.
