DescriptionIs writing at suggestion of B Wevill of ICI Ltd - comments on use of inert plastic materials in reconstructive surgery and on problem of deciding what material to use - discusses experiments replacing section of peritoneal endothelium of rat with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) - in 2 of the 6 rats normal looking endothelium had grown over the incorporated material - asks for Florey's advice on further investigations - consulted ICI as they make PTFE but finds they only make the crude chemical - comments on this - is enclosing photographs.
