DescriptionPleased Wright has booked passage in mid-February - might be going to USA at end of March so hopes Wright will arrive before he goes - finds that oxyntic cells of the lizard, Tiliqua nigrolutea, produce acid when given histamine but do not produce anything when given drugs like carbachol - comments on this - asks if Wright could bring 25 lizards, so problem of production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach can be investigated - also trying to find out what hormone really activates first part of duodenum - comments on this work - comments on monograph on mucous secretion in the gut, which he is writing with Mrs Jennings - Wright might examine effect of vagal stimulation on goblet cells of the small intestine - comments on this might work on Brunner's glands or on the rat colon - is thinking of starting work on establishment of collateral circulations - comments on this - asks for information about the osmotic pum used in Wright's department - will enquire about import of lizards.
