Description | Bound notebook labelled vol.III, copying book for Farthing's improved manifold writer "warranted to answer in all climates". Copy letters from multiple senders arranged in chronological order. The copying book was created using a copying machine, with a manifold writer, a patented invention to copy multiple copies of an original. Likely used as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father. Bound together with HS/25/1; HS/25/2; HS/25/4; HS/25/5; HS/25/6; HS/25/7. |
