DescriptionAutograph letter signed by sender. William King (Earl of Lovelace) was in Somerset when John Frederick William Herschel's letter arrived, but he placed it before him on his return. Thinks the G. Hartnell affair is the responsibility of J. R. Townshend (3rd Vicount Sydney). His own mother is doing well considering her age. Hopes John Frederick William Herschel has had good news from India.
