He explains some of his difficulties and says that he sees no use in publishing, since the prejudice against hexameters is so strong. He thinks of presenting the copyright and 500 impressions to the Merchants' House of Glasgow, the profits to found a bursary. He asks what progress Herschel has made in his translation. |
