DescriptionHe had made Herschel's acquaintance previously and therefore is not a stranger. He had hoped to talk to him about his employment, but since he could not, he has sent a message by Stevens. According to what he thinks are Herschel's wishes, he will be confirmed at Nuddea. In a postscript, Campbell refers to a family connection by marriage and will hope to see the Herschels after his return from Darjeeling.
